Award-winning American Actor Johnny Serret was born (Jean-Pierre Serret) on July 23rd 1986 in the city of Malden, Massachusetts, United States. He is of Spanish decent from Amposta, Catalonia, Spain. In 1970 his family lived in East Boston, Boston, Massachusetts. They moved to Malden and lived there for several years, spent some time in Orlando, Florida. In 1984, they moved back to New England where they eventually settled in the quiet Essex County town of Boxford, Massachusetts. The first time he saw Gary Oldman's brilliant performance in the Francis Ford Coppola masterpiece Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), He knew he wanted to become an actor.

He was studying Criminal Justice while attending AIC and Lasell College in Newton, MA. By November of 2007 he dropped out of school and moved to New York City in January of 2008 to pursue his passion for acting. His dream came true as his movie debut What Doesn't Kill You (2008) premiered at the Cinema Villiage in Manhattan. The film was directed by Brian Goodman, as Serret portrayed the mischievous Southie native role Young Brian. In 2009, He played Tony Stratton, a teenager who is charged with murder in an episode on Law and Order (1990). In 2010 He was cast as the mentally ill Carlos Salvatierra in "Mariela in the Desert" for the Denver Center Theatre Company. Associate Artistic Director Bruce Sevy was granted the opportunity of directing the Latin Award winning production written by Karen Zacarias. So committed to the role, he shaved his whole body (excluding head) and lost 20 pounds to make himself younger and would walk around Denver, Colorado while he was still in character.

For his performance, Serret was honored with the most prestigious award in Colorado. The Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award for *Best Supporting Actor in a Play.

The Denver Post Ovation Awards *Best Supporting Actor in a Play, was also awarded to Serret from the same play. It was for the Best of the Denver Center Theatre Company.

Serret was the lead role as Manten Vierge in the Peter Zachari science fiction play called "The 3rd Gender" that was part of the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival. Karen Lynn Gorney played his mother in the production. She is best known as Stephanie, John Travolta's love interest in Saturday Night Fever (1977). He worked on an episode playing Jose Otero in Blue Bloods (2010). This would be the second time he would work with Donnie Wahlberg, the previous time was on the set of What Doesn't Kill You (2008). A year later he was cast as Ralph Harman in Behind the Mirror (2015) directed by Minos Papas. The film was awarded Best Thriller at the Manhattan and the Mexico International Film Festivals. He played for the role as Jason in Stefanie Sparks film In Case of Emergency (2017). He was a recurring guest star on the STARZ network Power (2014) playing the drug courier Sabueso. His next movie was Coincidental Killer (2016) playing a street guy named Flacco. He went on to play a small role for the movie Callback (2016) as the Fake ID Dealer named Cesar. The film went on to win Best Film at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival. He was cast as the East Harlem native Anwar for the TV show Up North (2017). He played the waiter in the episode called " The Incident at Pound Ridge" on the TV Land show called Younger (2015).

Serret played the roll of Abel in the film Knucks (2021) directed by Gage Maynard. He was cast as Det. Berkowicz in the film The Sisters Kardos (2021) directed by Gabe Rodriguez. He played Kevin in a film directed by Rob Ciano called Twenty-Nine (2021).

Serret has been casted for Expiate (2022), directed by Gage Maynard who previously worked with him on Knucks (2021). He also work on a film called In America where he played the role of Corey.
